Variety Performance

6th July 2018

Shout out to Stratford six Cluster Schools, whose joint schools’ council arranged and performed at a “Variety Performance” held at Stratford High School, for donating two trolleys of food to the Foodbank.
Conceived by the students, they wanted the event to support a National (Young Minds) and a local charity, which was the Foodbank. The event was sponsored by Stradfas, represented by Ann Maguire. Each parent was asked to bring a donation for the foodbank with their ticket.
The event was attended by our volunteers Annette O’Hara & Maggie Hedger, pictured above and Dr Amanda Dale who is the Cluster Business Manager and is based at The Willows.
The schools performing were The Willows C of E orchestra who performed Grieg’s “In The Hall Of the Mountain King, Bishopton Primary who performed scenes from Romeo and Juliet,  Alveston C of E, who’s Year Three class gave a rousing performance of Abba’s “He is your brother” and  “Mama Mia”, St Gregory’s R.C  choir singing Ben E. King’s “Stand by  me” and Bridgetown school’s drama group performing the balcony scene from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Marion Fleetwood from Warwickshire Music Hub also performed at the children’s request.
It was a very enjoyable evening of high quality entertainment.
