Warehouse Volunteer Appeal

Stratford Foodbank are looking for extra warehouse volunteers, offers from new and existing volunteers are welcome- full training will be provided. These roles will be as Box Packers’ and ‘Warehouse Volunteers’: We have some specific gaps we need to fill (dates below).  

 

Box Packers:

We urgently need volunteers for the role of Box Packer, are you free to help on:

Tuesday // 31st July // 11.30-2.15pm    

Tuesday // 18th Sep // 11.30-2.15

You will work in partnership with a second box packer to collate food parcels to give to clients at distribution sessions. You must have availability to help at least once a month at one of the following sessions Tues 11.30am-2.15pm, Thurs 4.30pm – 6.45pm, or Friday 11.30am – 2.15pm. Volunteering will be carried out at our Foodbank Distribution Cabin, on the carpark at Tesco, on Stratford’s Birmingham Road. Light lifting, twisting and bending will be required. General Warehouse Volunteers

We are also looking for volunteers to assist at our warehousing sessions, which take place twice a week on Monday 2 – 4.30pm and Wednesday 2 – 4.30pm – specific gaps we are looking to fill are shown below. As a warehouse volunteer you will be processing our food donations. This involves labelling, weighing and shelving food. An experienced Volunteer Warehouse Team Leader leads each warehouse session. The work will be carried out at our Foodbank Warehouse Cabin, on the carpark at Tesco, on Stratford’s Birmingham Road. To read a full description of the warehouse volunteer role please click here
