Listers Love Helping!

18th November 2019

As we approach the season of generosity and goodwill, it is only right that we acknowledge the debt of gratitude that we owe to Listers in Stratford. For the fifth year running, they have set up collection points in four of their dealerships in Western Road, and at their Head Office, in order for staff to donate food items for the Foodbank, the needs for which are growing continually. In the four weeks before the delivery date to the Foodbank in early December, to ensure items can be used in the Christmas Hampers, staff provide food in the hope that the families we are helping in our local area will be able to enjoy Christmas, with a little less stress.

Founder and co-ordinator of the collections at Listers, Lesley Franklin, said, “I am very happy to give my time to this worthy cause and I’m so proud that it’s been a great success. Listers have supported me from day one and its grown tremendously over the last couple of years. Listers as a company like to get involved with our local community and we do a couple of charity events during the year, as well as helping the Food Bank at Christmas”.

We would like to congratulate Lesley and the staff who are involved at Listers for their dedication, kindness and generosity over the years for the less fortunate people in Stratford. In total they have provided the equivalent of £1508 worth of food, which is a fantastic amount and makes such a difference. We could not do what we do without the support of people like you. So, a massive “Thank you” from Stratford Food Bank to everyone involved.
