Stratford Wellbeing Month

8th January 2021

Stratford Foodbank would like to share news of a great initiative  bought to you by our friends at  Stratford Calling and the Timebank.

Emma, from Stratford Calling, along with Sarah, from Stratford Time Bank, wanted to offer something for the people of Stratford to support their mental health, which for many has been impacted greatly during the pandemic. So, they created Stratford Wellbeing Month, a series of podcasts and virtual online events in January for residents to find out more about how they can look after their own mental health. They also have an Introduction to Zumba Gold session too, as it is well known that physical activity can benefit our all-round health.

Every Monday Emma will be talking to the host of that week’s session on the podcast about what they do, the importance of our mental health and well-being and what to expect from their session. You can listen to the podcast on most podcast providers or on the website https://stratfordcalling.buzzsprout.com.

Live zoom sessions, open for anyone with a CV37 postcode, are being held throughout January on topics such as mindfulness, stress and anxiety. They are free to attend, although contributions can be made at gofundme.com – just search for Stratford Calling. Spaces are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis. To book a space, just email [email protected] with your name and postcode. If you are unable to access the live session, a recording will be available on the Stratford Calling YouTube channel shortly after the event.

Stratford Foodbank is delighted to hear of support such as this for local people during these dark times and would like to congratulate Emma and Sarah on a great initiative.
