A Money Advice Programme, run in partnership with Citizens Advice South Warwickshire (CASW) began in November 2020 thanks to funding received by the Foodbank. The programme’s aims were to tackle the root causes of food poverty for our clients.
We have been able to offer a wide range of advice, and many of our clients have benefitted significantly as a result. Because we were so pleased with the positive impact this programme has had, we wished to see it continue, and so applied for further funding.
We are delighted to be able to report that we have secured £165,000 of funding to sustain the project until the end of September 2024, continuing our partnership with CASW.
Julie Newton our CASW advisor said ‘I was excited to be involved from the start of this project and offer help and advice, whether it’s a benefit issue, employment or any other crisis. It has been inspiring to contact people and make a difference to their lives because otherwise they would not have known where to turn to for help.’
