Go, Kate!

7th October 2020

Foodbank volunteer Kate Sergent ran her virtual marathon last Sunday, 4th October, having been awarded a ‘good for age’ place in the London marathon. She chose to raise funds for Stratford Foodbank to support our move to the Fred Winter centre in the town centre, which many of you will know is an on-going project. Massive thanks to Kate, who smashed her £750 target and raised a magnificent sum of £1,100

Kate decided to run from Birmingham back to her home in Stratford in a fantastic time of 5 hours and 6 minutes – incredible when you remember how the rain fell on Sunday! Huge congratulations to Kate from all at the Foodbank, and also, we are sure, many of our clients.

When Kate arrived back in Stratford, her Justgiving page total was £730; the additional £370 has been donated since then, which we think shows just how awesome she really is!
