4500 food parcels were issued in 2020 compared with 3057 in 2019. Includes additional parcels issued as part of the MakeLunch programme aimed at families with children who would be in receipt of free school meals during term time, and provision of fresh food to 90 families for 25 weeks.
Households in receipt of help included 57% single, 16% multiple adults -no children, 14% single parents and 13% multiple adults with children.
Claims for universal credit and job seekers allowance increased by 194%. At Stratford on Avon 68% sited low income as the main reason for using the foodbank.
