Meet the Stratford upon Avon Foodbank team

Without the dedicated support from all our wonderful volunteers, staff members and trustees, the Stratford upon Avon Foodbank would not exist. We are made up of: 

Meet the trustees

Davina Logan

Davina Logan

Chair of Trustees

Davina joined the food bank as a Trustee in 2022 and became Chair in May 2024. A retired police officer with 34 years' service across four forces. She later chaired Age UK Oxfordshire and Action for Carers Oxfordshire. She runs a coaching business, lives near Stratford with her husband, and enjoys walking, reading, travel, and gardening. Davina volunteers regularly and loves learning.

Vice Chair of Trustees

Neil has volunteered at the food bank since 2019 and became a Trustee in 2024. He helps with distribution sessions and home deliveries. Neil is also an Age UK befriender and serves on Stratford’s Remuneration Panel, as well as being a keen member of the Avon Bowls club.

Anne Turner

Treasurer Trustee

Anne’s background is in accountancy and finance, having worked as Finance Director in three large Midlands housing associations for over 25 years. Since retiring in 2016, she’s held several non-executive roles, mainly in housing. Anne lives near Stratford with her husband Steve. She enjoys theatre, countryside walks, gardening, and baking.

Maggie Hedger

Trustee

Maggie joined the food bank after retiring from a Public Sector career 7 years ago. She was a Trustee until Nov 2020, rejoining in April 2022. She’s worked in Front Line and Warehouse roles, and now focuses on supporting the food bank’s financial inclusion project. Maggie enjoys distance walking, gardening, her allotment, cooking, baking, and spending time with family and friends.

Mark Langley

Mark Langley

Trustee

Mark has been a Trustee since Jan 2022, supporting health and safety at the Foodbank and volunteering in operations. His background is in operational and H&S leadership in the pharmaceutical industry, including time abroad. He and his wife Fiona moved to Stratford in 2021 to be closer to family. Mark does safety consultancy, plays golf, cycles, and is active in the Shakespeare Lions Club.

Kate Rolfe

Trustee

Kate has lived and worked in Stratford-upon-Avon for over 26 years. A Town, District, and County Councillor for 15+ years, she’s twice served as Mayor, most recently in 2023–2024, when the food bank was one of her chosen charities. Kate enjoys supporting food drives, local events, and going to the theatre with her husband Mike.

Gerry Dryden

Trustee

Originally from Northumberland, Gerry has lived in Stratford district since 2001. With a career in senior health, social care, and housing roles, he’s spent the last decade in the charity sector, including as CEO of a regional charity. Gerry is committed to social justice and community care. He and his wife enjoy theatre and local events.

Simon smith

Simon Smith

Trustee

Simon has lived in Stratford for over 26 years. With a career in Financial Services spanning senior roles in marketing, communications and business strategy in the UK, Asia, and the US, he now works as a company advisor. Having returned to Stratford—his long-term home—Simon is delighted to support the Foodbank as a trustee. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, hiking, and going to concerts.

Yvonne Hunter

Yvonne Hunter

Trustee

Yvonne's working life started in local government in London. She has worked on health policy for the Chartered Society
of Physiotherapy and the NHS Confederation and before retirement evolved to conference planning and management. 
 Yvonne has volunteered as school governor, elected governor on an NHS Trust, and has been a trustee for Warwickshire Air Ambulance and Citizens Advice in Stratford.

Elizabeth had a career in HR and in particular Learning and Development providing career/leadership development programmes. Elizabeth has Trustee experience, previously being a Trustee of Shipston Nursing Home and Midland Air Ambulance Charity.

Alan Cable

Alan Cable

Trustee

Alan who, in the last year, moved to Stratford-upon-Avon to be closer to his family. Alan was a Trustee of Bridgewater Foodbank and is a Trustee of Grace Advocacy a national Charity which provides debt, benefits, housing, social care and NHS advice. Alan sits on the Churches Together leadership team for the town.
