Referees’ Running

23rd January 2021

Callum Fisk is a referee and lives in Welford. As part of a group of 16 Midlands referees, during the second lockdown they raised over £2900 for their local Foodbanks in Solihull, Coventry, Stratford, Worcester and Wolverhampton by running a fantastic distance, in total, of 1612km. They each ran 100km individually, over  226 separate runs, averaging 7.13km per run.

Marion, our foodbank manager, received Callum’s share of the total raised, which amounted to a brilliant £561. She said, “We are so grateful to Callum and his referee colleagues for thinking of Foodbanks at this time. Cash donations are hugely important to us as they help pay for  overheads like rent, and plan for all the extras we will need when we move to the Fred Winters centre in the summer“.
