School Holiday Lunch Hampers included with Food Parcels

10th July 2023

Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank offers ‘lunch hampers’ for supported families over the school summer holidays

As the summer school holidays are fast approaching. Conscious that the lack of school meal provision during the holidays will be hard for many families, Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank plans to increase its support to families over the holiday period. Families receiving an emergency food parcel will also receive, as an addition, a children’s lunch hamper. The lunch hamper will include enough food for week-day packed lunches for children in the household. This will start to be included from 24 July and run until the start of September.

All the referral agencies and local schools who raise food vouchers for families in need of support have received information about the addition of children’s lunch hampers. Information about free/discounted meal options in Stratford and the surrounding area can be found here.

If local people wish to support these lunch hampers over the summer holidays, we would be grateful for donations of soup, squash/juice and tinned sandwich fillings e.g. tuna, ham or similar.
