Free Meals at the Make Lunch Club this half term!

The Foodbank are delighted to support the URC church who, during the February half term, will once again offer FREE meals to families with school age children.

The Make Lunch Club provides a free hot meal and fun-filled activities for families on two days in the Spring half-term week. They especially welcome families finding it difficult to manage when there are extra mouths to be fed during the school holidays.

Club Details:

When:  Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th February

Where: The United Reformed Church, Rother St (near the Playhouse) CV37 6LU

This club is completely FREE to attend for families who have school age children

Volunteers at the URC church are  keen to make this scheme a success, so please share news of the lunch club where possible.

Foodbank figures for 2019 show that parcels distributed to children grew by 26%, to an average of 86 parcels a month, compared to the average last year of 68 a month. Children’s parcels represent 33% of all our parcels, so there does appear to be an urgent need for this type of support .
