Have you got space?
In these challenging times, Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank is working hard to support people in our local community who need our help.
Our aspiration is to help not just with food, but working to connect people with other agencies to assist them in addressing the underlying causes of crisis that contribute to their difficult circumstances. We have seen demand for our services increase dramatically in the last few years, unfortunately, our current location at the Fred Winter Centre is no longer big enough to enable us to achieve this, and we need more space!
We’ve been searching through commercial agents for several months now to find something suitable, with no success. Therefore, we are now reaching out to ask if there is anybody who has space available that has not been advertised, or space that might be free soon and might work for us.
What are we looking for?
A central location within Stratford town centre, which will enable us to do the following:
- provide a welcoming environment for people to collect food parcels, with space for them to have a drink and confidential conversations, along with enough space for support agencies to join us to provide vital support.
- receive and store donated food in warehouse set-up with racking/shelving and room for our volunteers to process donations
- provide office space for our staff team to work
How big?
We currently have about 219 sqm m (ca 2400 sq ft) of space, and we need something bigger! Maybe as much as 50% bigger…but it will depend on the layout of space.
If you have, or know of anything that might be available, please let us know.
