Our Trustees

Davina Logan joined the Foodbank as a Trustee in November 2022 and since May 2024 has been Chair. Her background is in policing, having been a police officer for 34 years in a career during which she served in four forces, retiring in 2010. For the last 12 years Davina was a Trustee for Age UK Oxfordshire and Action for Carers Oxfordshire, the last 6 years of which she was Chair of both charities. Davina is a sole trader in a small Coaching and Mentoring business in which she supports individuals with their personal and career development. Davina has lived just outside Stratford with her husband David for the last 8 years. She enjoys keeping fit, walking, reading, travel and gardening (although more on the watching things grow side than doing the hard work!). She is keen to learn and will be regularly volunteering to support where she can.

Neil Hounsell has been living in Stratford upon Avon for the last few years and volunteering at the Foodbank since 2019. Neil is currently our Vice-Chair. I help out at distribution sessions and make home deliveries. In the past I’ve volunteered in the warehouse and collected food from supermarkets but that was too much like hard work. I became a Trustee in October 2023 and I’m looking forward to the challenge. Apart from the Foodbank I’m an Age UK befriender, visiting isolated people in their homes. I’m also part of the Independent Remuneration Panel that reviews Stratford Councillors expenses. I hope to become secretary of the Avon Bowls Club later this year. This will be the culmination of my ambition to be considered as a fully-fledged old bloke.

Anne Turner is  the Treasurer trustee to the Foodbank. My background is in accountancy and finance and I worked as Finance Director in three large housing associations in the midlands for over 25 years. Having retired from full time work in 2016, I have since held a number of non-executive positions, mainly in the housing sector as I am passionate about the importance of safe, quality housing at affordable rents for all those who need it. I have lived in the Stratford area since moving here with my husband Steve in the mid 1980’s. It is a great place to live and we particularly enjoy visiting the theatre here. In my spare time I also love to walk in the surrounding countryside, tend my garden and indulge my hobby of cooking/baking.

Maggie Hedger, married to Robin for 30 years and have one daughter, Ellie.  I’ve been involved with the Foodbank since I retired 6 years ago following a career in the Public Sector.  I was previously a Trustee but stepped down in November 2020 to support my family, and rejoined as a Trustee in April 2022.  I’ve previously worked in Front Line and Warehouse, but currently focussing my time at the Foodbank in supporting our Pathfinder status.  My hobbies include walking, particularly distance challenge walks, gardening, working on my allotment, cooking and baking and spending time with family and friends.

Mark Langley has been a trustee at the Foodbank since January 2022. His background is working in operational and health and safety leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry, including three stints working abroad in Europe and South Africa but mostly based in north east Lincolnshire (which some might consider abroad too!). He and his wife Fiona moved to Stratford in 2021 to be more centrally located and able to see their three children more regularly (and because it’s a lovely place!). Mark does some safety consultancy work, plays passionate (but mediocre) golf, is a keen cyclist, and an active member of Shakespeare Lions Club. At the Foodbank Mark’s main Trustee responsibilities are as Trustee supporting on health and safety, and he also volunteers in operations.

Chris Collins joined the Foodbank as a trustee in October 2023. Chris and his wife Jenny have had links with Stratford for about 20 years despite living over the border in Redditch and Wolverhampton for much of that time. Chris began his career as a chartered accountant before moving into Christian ministry and running his own business. Since 2013 Chris has been a trustee of the Fellowship of Reconciliation and has also been a governor in a college of Higher Education and Secretary to the Board of a local Inter-Faith network. In Wolverhampton Chris had first-hand experience of developing and supporting two Foodbanks. In his spare time Chris enjoys gardening, carpentry, art and reading.

Kate Rolfe has lived and worked in Stratford-upon-Avon for over 26 years.  I have been a Town and District Councillor for Tiddington Ward and a County Councillor for Stratford South for over 15 years and I have had the pleasure and honour of being the Mayor of our wonderful town twice – 2019-2020 and 2034-2024.  During my recent mayoralty The Foodbank was one of my charities and I was able to raise money for them.  Plus I always enjoy helping out with the food drives.  My husband Mike and I enjoy going to all the theatres in the Town and we always like to support local events.   I am so looking forward to being a trustee of the Foodbank in Stratford-upon-Avon and I will do my very best to support in any way I can.

Iina (pronounced eena) Jutila, I’m thrilled to join the Foodbank as a newly appointed trustee. I bring experience in policy, legal, and strategic roles, where I’ve had the opportunity to work with various voluntary organizations that support vulnerable individuals. This work has deepened my commitment to community-focused initiatives, especially those providing essential resources and support. Recently, I moved to the West Midlands and already feel a strong connection to the Stratford-upon-Avon area. This is my first role as a trustee, and I am excited to bring my skills and energy to the Foodbank, supporting its vital mission in any way I can. My motivation for this role in my own experience with foodbanks which has helped me understand how essential these services are. Outside of my trustee role, I recently adopted two kittens, I enjoy exploring the local nature through hiking and running and enjoy reading and painting. I look forward to working with the team and contributing to such an essential cause.”

Gerry Dryden, originally from Northumberland, Gerry and his family have called Stratford district home since 2001, after years in the northwest of England. Over a varied career in senior health, social care, and social housing roles, he has consistently focused on supporting vulnerable communities. The last decade saw Gerry dedicate himself to the charitable sector, including serving as Chief Executive of a charity in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, where his leadership left a meaningful impact. Joining the Foodbank as a Trustee aligns with Gerry’s commitment to social justice and his belief in helping the community. Gerry values the Foodbank’s role in fostering community care and is honoured to contribute to its mission. Outside of his professional work, Gerry and his wife enjoy going to the theatre and taking in local shows and events.
