Huge and very grateful thanks to L&Q who are a social housing provider building homes at Birnam Mews in Tiddington. They visited the foodbank to drop off food kindly donated by the L&Q Foundation which is the charitable arm of L&Q, and contractors, Grimes, Dryliner, Kirby Pro Seal and PGE Landscaping.
Sharon Boot, Community Development Lead for the Counties Region, explained that, “As a housing association and developer working in the Stratford upon Avon area we felt it really important to support the foodbank, especially when so many people are facing additional difficulties this year”.
Foodbank manager Marion Homer said, ” we are very grateful to L&Q and their contractors for thinking of us at this time. The foodbank is reliant on donations to help us provide emergency parcels to those in need. Unfortunately, we have seen an increase in demand since the pandemic began, so donations of this type are very welcome .”
Some snoods and scarves were also donated by the mother of one of the sub-contractors and these were distributed with some of the Hampers, so very many thanks go to this lady too.
