The Foodbank are extremely grateful to the Spar store in Tiddington, who have decided that we are to be their nominated charity for their fundraising this year, in addition to becoming a collection point for Foodbank items. They join our increasing number of collection points we have been invited to set up recently in some of the outlying villages, such as Wilmcote, Snitterfield, Claverdon and Henley.
At the Spar shop, customers will also find collecting tins at the shop and post office counters for those odd coins sometimes returned in change, and for a small donation, they can also exchange books. This is a great idea, especially during the long lockdown days, when we are all trying to fill our days. For those customers who need to buy a carrier bag in the store, they will also be supporting the Foodbank, as profits from the sale of the bags will also be donated to help those increasing numbers of people in need in our local community.
The Spar shop are delighted to be supporting the Foodbank and we are equally delighted and appreciative of their assistance in raising funds for us.
