Stratford upon Avon Foodbank has been awarded £199,967 in multiyear funding from Stratford Town Trust, supporting three key strategic roles that will strengthen the charity through a period of major change and rising need.

Beginning in July 2026 and delivered across three years, this investment will fund the Foodbank Director, Frontline Services Lead and, from early 2027, a new Campaigns Officer. Together, these roles will provide the leadership, coordination and community engagement needed as the organisation delivers its evolved strategy at its new home Masons Road Hub.

“We’re incredibly grateful for this investment in our community and in the future of Stratford upon Avon Foodbank”

says Foodbank Director, Asher Deakin.

“We work hard to ensure our clients are at the heart of all we do, and this funding means we can put lived experience front and centre as we campaign for change locally and nationally. It will also help us provide a warm welcome, signposting and practical support as part of our Support Beyond Food offer. Crucially, this multiyear funding gives us the stability to plan ahead with confidence, strengthen our services and build a more resilient future for the people who rely on us.”

James McHugh, Grants Manager at Stratford Town Trust said:

“We recognise the vital role that Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank plays in our community. They provide an immediate safety net for those in short term financial crisis, but their impact goes much further, working with other organisations to tackle the causes of food poverty. We’re proud to support them to meet the rising demand for their services.”
